Zaven K. Kazazian

Mr. Kazazian’s extensive experience brings consulting strength to all aspects of group benefits, especially managed care and health cost management. He has been head of a number of divisions within insurance companies.

Mr. Kazazian began his career in employee benefits in 1973, as a claims examiner for Occidental Life of California. He joined CNA Insurance Companies in 1979 as a claim supervisor and progressed to claim audit manager in the Group Department, a position he held from 1981 to 1983. He became an account executive in the Sales Department in 1983. This led to his promotion to sales manager in 1986.

Mr. Kazazian headed CNA Group Sales as Vice President of Sales from 1991 to 1994. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Kazazian served as Senior Vice President of Group Sales, Underwriting and Administration. From 1997 to 2001, he served as Senior Vice President of CNA UniSource, a subsidiary of CNA Financial Corporation. In this position, he was responsible for all employee benefits products offered by CNA UniSource, CNA’s professional employer organization (PEO). Mr. Kazazian’s product responsibilities included payroll, human resources, workers’ compensation, loss control and employee benefits.

Mr. Kazazian has worked with small employers and Fortune 1,000 employers. His clients have included corporate accounts, school districts, hospitals, Taft-Hartley accounts and associations.

Mr. Kazazian holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Woodbury University and a J.D. degree from Western State University School of Law. Mr. Kazazian served as a board member of the Group and Pension Committee of the Life Insurance Management and Research Association (LIMRA), 1992-1997.
