Ms. Reagan Garner is President of Garner Consulting. Since joining Garner Consulting in 1990, Ms. Reagan Garner has focused on evaluating benefit operations and claim administration services. Her recent clients include the Archdiocese of Seattle, Freedom Communications, and Marriott International. Ms. Reagan Garner manages the firm’s claim audit practice in addition to assisting with health benefits strategic planning, competitive bidding and organizational projects.
Her experience prior to joining Garner Consulting includes general management consulting, HMO and hospital financial operations, auditing with a Big 5 accounting firm and claim examining. Ms. Reagan Garner has earned the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans in conjunction with the Wharton School. She is also a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). She has authored two chapters in the Health Insurance Answer Book, articles published in Managing Employee Health Benefits, Innovations In Human Resources, and Newsbrief. She co-authored a chapter on claim administration in a textbook published by the Health Insurance Association of America. She has served as a guest lecturer on managed care at Chapman University.
Ms. Reagan Garner is a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Employee Benefit Planning Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Western Claim Conference and the Vestry (the governing body) of All Saints (Episcopal) Church, Pasadena CA. She is a past president of the Southern California chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and of the Western Claim Conference.
